Can I give this gift without eyes?

Blush

I am a total beginner and just learned the steps off YouTube. I added eyes, nose and mouth like on the pattern but it looked hideous. It would frighten the baby! So I took them off and tried again but I just can’t get them to look half decent. Is it creepy without eyes? I already messed up the stitches on the head so I can’t stuff it like it’s supposed to be. I think it looks ok flat? But what about eyes? Does it need them?

What eyes were you using? Lay them on it and take another photo so that we can see

Baby will just see something nice and snuggly, I don't think it needs facial features, it looks cute. Plus think of the lack of choking hazard!

Better no eyes than creepy eyes I think Grin it's lovely and snuggly looking, the baby will love it as it is.

It's lovely. You could always add big french knotty eyes if you wanted. Little plain silver buttons would also work but choking hazard. Great job!

I mean big french knots = tiny eyes!

I was just stitching them in with blue wool the same as the scarf. They looked wonky and lumpy. And evil.

Yes jane pretty much? Grin

I had wondered about choking risk too. Will leave it without eyes. Baby shall remain safe from choking and nightmares.
