anyone know where to get a roll of blackout material for cheap ?

to cut up and sew onto curtains, as i have bought a few sets of curtains for my new house, and even though they're lined, they let the light in.

or should i just sew normal liner into them?

Hmmm, not seen any cheap anywhere really. I got my blackout lining from Blooming Marvellous (online). They do three different sizes and are really easy to fit, but if you need large ones they are quite expensive (£40 or something I think). Think John Lewis do them too but about same price.

J20BABY, I had blackout liner sewn onto the curtains in the kids room and TBH it didn't help much, the light still shone in from the holes in the side!

am now considering blacking out the room altogether with a bit square of the stuff!

i suppose we could just wrap a bit round there eyes??

i've just found some on ebay for £2.50 a metre, mine are already lined so it should make a difference but dd aren't so might have to double it up or something
