Fancy making something like this for a window which catches the morning sun.

Seen some beautiful creations online for £££!

If I were to make my own , where can I buy a nice variety of glass beads and what sort of thread should I use?

No idea on beads but crocheting with variegated yarn I've seen some lovely things on Pinterest I imagine might be what you'd like? Can't see a pic on your post but guessing you mean that?

Wilkos does lovely variegated yarn colours for £1 a ball and if you crochet with a very tight tension it will look less "wool" like and more thread like

Thanks for your response!

I was thinking of coloured glass beads which refract the light. The window isn't overlooked so there are no privacy issues - its entirely aesthetic.

Oh I think I somewhat know what you mean now... I'd use fishing wire like you use when doing balloon decorating as it's strong and clear so virtually invisible and very strong

Search suncatcher crystal beads on eBay?
