Dress pattern, can you help find this dress ?

I’d call myself a basic sewer, I’ve never sewn a dress but have a friend who will help. I’d love to make this type of dress but can’t seem to find a plus size (I’m 20/22) dress that looks like this.

There is a pattern review website called The Foldline , they have a search function that brings up loads of patterns. I put in dresses size 22 and there were some that were pretty close to the Joules dress.

You're sewing freind will probably know this, but you need to buy dress patterns by your measurements and not your dress size. The old pattern houses still cut patterns on the old sizing sizes so you generally go up in size compared to what you buy in the shops. Some of the newer pattern makers cut more to the size that we have come to know in the shops (which feels a bit nicer IMO!).

The Colette Penny www.colettepatterns.com/catalog/penny is quite similar, at least version 2, and Colette’s size range is brilliant.
It’s not fully button down but that should be a fairly easy hack if you want to do that.

Both of these patterns are specifically drafted for plus sizes and get rave reviews for how well and easily they fit. I don't think they're too challenging to sew either :-)

Just bear in mind that if you are a high street 20/22, you need to check the measurements.
I'm a high street 18 but I usually need a size 22 in dress patterns (it does vary though - independents tend to do modern sizing where as the brands (such as new look, simplicity, butterick etc) tend to stick with the older measurements. CHECK THE MEASUREMENTS!!

Megan Neilsen has a dress pattern quite like that too. She also does a sewalking showing how to do different alterations and make the complete dress which can be helpful.
I haven't made it yet myself but it is definitely on my sewing list for the summer.
