I occasionally go to The Sewing Place (link if you're interested) but it doesn't get masses of traffic but the advice is sound. It replaced another really good forum that closed (I can't remember it's name), sadly taking a plethora of useful information with it!

Are there any others...UK based or otherwise?

Hello everyone! In a current situation I decided that I want to learn to sew, but I don't understand what sewing machine should I take. Can anyone of you recommend me any machine. Maybe machine that you use.

Thanks in advance!

Sewing in the UK is a really friendly and encouraging group. People from beginners to really experienced. Great for advice or just to post makes. I love it.

I went on a deep search on this topic so I found this forum very useful and informative. Here you also can find a lot, especially if you are looking for proper sewing machine. And finally on this channel I've got many tips and tricks on sewing.

I hope it would be useful for you Blush

FB. Has brilliant sewing groups. My favs are "curvy sewing collective" and an upcycled fabric one. But there are lots. Try a few out and you'll find one you like.

I mostly use FB for the groups these days.

I follow various sewing blogs- 'So Zo What Do You Know' is great, also Lladybird (American) & Male Pattern Boldness (American). Agree Pattern Review is a really useful resource. Finding a blogger who sews the sort of things you like is a great way to get advice & inspiration. Try the Minevra crafts blog page, or Sewaholic (old & not updated, but loads of great advice)

I have recently launched a sewing forum www.forum.yousew.net ! As of now there isn’t too much content, but I hope this will improve in the near future. I would appreciate any feedback! Have a look, and join the conversations!

well, not a forum but kind of a review blog which I personally found useful for my sewing projects. It's called Craftyhangouts, there are plenty of informative articles to read (like this one), And it's not only about sewing but crafting in general! Very exciting to read :)
