Sew-Lite sewing machine help

Kit1411 · 23/01/2018 16:04

I have a see-lite sewing machine that I bought off someone, I have he box but no instructions and can’t find any online.

I’m just wondering how the threads go as each time I try and see the thread keeps coming out of the needle.

Is his right? Through the needle and underneath and the other one just coming out from the bottom? Or does the underneath one need to be threading up through the little hole under where the needle is?

TIA

It needs to come through the hole

Keep the foot raised, and keep holding the top thread in your left hand and slowly turn the handwheel towards you. The needle will go down through the hole and when it comes back up, it should pull the bobbin thread with it. Pull this bobbin thread through completely.

Then you will have both threads on top. (but underneath the presser foot)
Pull them to the back and start stitching.

Hmm the thread keeps coming out of the needle so it’s only doing one stitch like this.

It might be the tension. Is there a tension knob somewhere - usually set to about 4 or 5?

also you need to make sure there's a decent length of thread left out before you start stitching because it does pull back a little bit - so maybe 4 inches

Is there a model number somewhere on the machine?

Kit1411 · 23/01/2018 18:04

Ok thanks, there isn’t a tension knob though. And no model number on it.
