Bow making

Can anyone help? I've been making ribbon bows for my little girl for a while and really love making them but my husband bought me a sissix big shot for Christmas and I'd love to have a go at making die cut fabric bows. Can anyone recommend best types of fabric and suppliers for this as I don't really know what I'm supposed to be looking for and I'd hate to waste my limited funds on buying the wrong stuff. (I can hear my old home ec teacher laughing right now saying 'see?! I told you to pay attention!' 😂)

I think that if you use a stabilising fabric such as vilene you can cut pretty much anything. Maybe raid the oddments or end of roll bin at your nearest haberdashery?

Just piggybacking on to steal ideas I bought a big shot on a FAB selling page no real idea what I'm doing!

P.s not all dies will cut fabric... thinlits, embosslits and framelits will only do paper. For fabric, afaik, you need the thicker ones with and actual frame embedded in foam.

I have a Big Shot Plus and Bigz Dies. I used the French Bow Die with some faux leather and they worked great!
