I went to a craft fair on Sunday and I saw some lovely necklaces I would like to try to make. The basic neclace was a flat silver ring about three quarters of an inch across hanging from a cord. Then there were lots of charms and short strings of interesting beads attached to little split rings. You chose 4 or 5 of these and attached them to the silver ring. Does any of this make sense? If it does, does anyone know where I could buy the flat silver rings? I've searched, but I can't find anything like them. Help, please?

Do you mean a 'central' larger ring hanging from the cord that opens so you can hang other things onto it ? or do the split rings 'slide' onto the fixed central circle?

I'm looking for a solid ring - the thong loops through it and it lies flat and the charm-y things are on split rings like little mini keyrings. Hope this makes sense!

Maybe you could use a circular toggle for the bigger ring
toggle ??

(But I'm still looking !)
