Crochet star (?) blanket for car seats...

Did I dream this? A blanket you can 'unwrap' without taking a sleeping baby out of a car seat?

Pinterest just shows me lots of star patterned blankets, the wraps but in fleece or a very pretty star shape which isn't the right thing..

Anyone know what I'm talking about?!

Like Maggie Simpson?

Possibly not the right thing...

That is the aim but I am hoping to crochet one but I might have merged two things in my head!

I've just googled crochet car seat blanket and loads come up.

However be aware it's not advised to put anything un-crash-tested between the baby and the car seat. Crochet might be okay as I would imagine it would squash down but you're looking to avoid the straps ending up too loose because of bulk which would compress in an accident.

Is this what you mean?

Yes Claire one of those is what I was thinking about! Now to decide if I've got time to make it before baby arrives!!

I'm in the process of making a 12 point star for the car seat, with gaps for the straps to sit through. Haven't done the 5 point but the 12 point pattern is really quick to work up
