Tilly Buttons online courses

Has anyone done any of her online courses? I’m a beginner sewer and have made a few things on my new machine for the home that just involve sewing straight lines that turned out ok but my main aim is to be able to make my own clothes.

I was wondering about the online courses that Tilly does and if anyone has tried any of them? It’s not possible at the minute for me to get to a taught class in person because of childcare etc but I could do one do these maybe.

For online sewing classes I really recommend craftsy. There are many excellent classes to choose from for sewing (but other topics too, like baking, drawing, quilting etc). They have a subscription service where you pay 14 pounds a month to access all classes. I have found this well worth the money and I'm going to keep my subscription for the foreseeable future.

I don't rate Tilly at all. Her patterns are badly drafted, and I can't imagine her classes are better quality than her patterns.

Agree that Craftsy is good quality but otherwise go to YouTube. There are a number of excellent tutorials on there, Jenny Doan from the Missouri Star Quilt Company who is amazing or Debbie Shore for general sewing.

Get taught the basics properly and it will last you a lifetime.
