Hi, I am looking to make candles to sell.
Ideally the candle in a tin variety.
How hard is it? Any advice about colours and fragrances in particular?

I am a novice at this.

Just for unformation- I bought a pillar candle today from Poundworld Plus.
White and unscented- parrafin wax, ( but I know some people prefer), weight 600g and cost £1. Burns cleanly.
Just a suggestion as a cheaper source of wax.

Oops I didn't recognise my name change Grin.

I like Rosemary and Bay Wreath for Winter/Christmas. Don't mind Cinnamon Bark and White Ginger but definitely don't like it as much as Rosemary and Bay Wreath.

Otherwise Mint and White Jasmine is definitely my favourite (just like the Jo Malone scent), I also buy Green tea and mint, Earl Grey, Rich Leather and Patchouli and Rock Salt and Driftwood.

I measure by volume, so if my melted wax is 500ml I measure 50ml of fragrance (in a marked expresso glass). I use less of some fragrances - 7% - Rosemary and Bay Wreath is really strong.

I bought some wooden wicks from China for a couple of quid recently, they are nice.

Once I know I like a fragrance I buy the 250ml size which is £10 from memory - reduces the cost per candle massively.

I use Livemoor (online store) have found their scents carry well and good price in wax.
