Dad would also love wherewithal to make her own skin care products. She keeps looking up on YouTube and then raiding my kitchen shelves or much much worse has been ‘making’ lip balm out of coconut oil, Vaseline and crushed up cheapo eyeshadow which just makes me wince. Again for 13th birthday so does anyone know where to go to buy good quality ingredients preferably on the organic side sio not too processed and little pots to put the creations into.

You can get beauty kits from Plush Folly, The Soap Kitchen, Just a Soap. They also do recipes on their site too so you can buy the ingredients for a specific recipe, but the kits have the specific amount of ingredients so work out much cheaper. I've had a hand cream from plush folley a few christmases ago and bath bomb one from the soap kitchen. Both worked well but I needed to buy a wee spritzer bottle for the bath bomb kit to make the mixture stick together (it's not included in the kit, didn't know that at the time I bought it).

I bought my niece a lip balm kit from etsy, make with mum. It comes personalised which was a nice touch.
