Craft Ideas to Sell at School Fair

Our school has asked for donations for a “Christmas Craft” Fair.

The items can be Christmas themed (eg baubles, gingerbreads) or not (eg soaps).

Can anyone give me ideas for something I could make (preferably not food as lots of people will do food)?

I can’t knit or crochet but I can sew a bit and generally quite handy with glue guns etc

Would love to make something that looks high quality and would be attractive and I could present nicely so that hopefully the school can sell lots of them.

Happy to spend a bit on materials if necessary.

These are very easy to sew - can include a themed book or not (£1-£2 from the works), sell with or without cushion inner (£2.50 from dunelm)

A friend did a knitted nativity to raffle for the church, the vicar won which was very odd!! Hand made Christmas stockings, red felt with fur trim, knitted snowman to hang on the tree, made £100 for the school!!

These were very popular when I did them with the Brownies (just a google picture, but mine looked like that too!). I would think they'd sell as well.

Admittedly, they're probably more cheap and cheerful than high quality!

Could you have a stall where children pay £1/2 to make one perhaps?

I don’t know why they won’t load!! Basically, cushions with envelope backs and a pocket across the front to put a book in! Themed fabric to match the book.

Lavender sachets for wardrobes-I would definitely buy these
Buy an old box of photo frames on eBay (you can get a whole box for nothing if you pick up) and paint 'shabby chic' style.
Mulled wine mix-just buy the spices and stick them in a bag.

Pipe cleaner dolls! SO quick and easy and you can get all the materials really cheaply. You can do simple outfits or more complicated ones if you are good at sewing.. my sister and I made some for a school fair a couple of years ago, we made them in to brooches, tree decorations... they were super fun to make and very popular with the kids! Youtube has loads of videos, I think we used this one...
