I have found a dressmaker who is going to copy a pair of trousers for me. I need corduroy with a small wale ie quite thick ribbed . I will be sourcing the fabric. As it will cost quite a bit for the dressmaker, how do I ensure the fabric is good quality? Do I just know by look/ feel? I'll be going to a haberdashers tomorrow in Bristol who from their website seem to have thick wale corduroy.TIA.
