Crochet blanket colour advice needed

I'm making a granny square blanket for DSis for Christmas. Colours used for squares are:
lilac
mauve
3 shades of grey
white.

I'm ready to start joining squares and want to crochet them together but what colour? I realise I should have probably left the white out of the squares and used this but it's too late now . The colours match her sitting room and I don't know whether a VERY contrasting colour would be too much - I've seen some lovely blankets on Pinterest with a similar colour look crocheted together with aqua.

Any ideas?

I would do a pale lemon colour I think.

A blue in the same colour palette could work.
