Your daftest craft related "durr" moments?

Mine is thinking of all the times I've struggled to slide a piece of knitting onto a bigger/smaller needle, often dropping stitches on the way, and having to retrieve them later.

When. I. Could. Have. Just. Knitted. Or. Purled. Them. Onto. The. Different. Sized. Needle.

Durr to the power of 10.

Oh no, I once knitted a throw with huge needles, massive yarn. I purled the whole thing. I occurred to me about 20 rows in that I could have knitted it but obviously by then I was stuck purling. I was a beginner so at least it was good purling practice!
