Block printing a tablecloth

I have seen several tablecloths which I really like, but can't afford the £60 + price tag. I am now thinking of making my own, and have seen a site where I can get all the materials, I just wondered if anyone had done their own and if there is anything I should bear in mind before doing this.

Sounds a good idea.
I made a tablecloth from a second hand duvet cover (oxfam or similar) perhaps you could use the same inexpensive fabrics to practise on.
Post a picture if you do it!

I guess the main thing would be to ensure the paint is permanent and the fabric is washable.

You'd definitely need to practise on something smaller first I think.

The ink I have found is set by ironing, so not an issue there phew I would practise on a small piece of fabric first, mainly to make sure the linocut block is of a design I am happy with.
