what do i do with a charm pack of 5" squares x40

had a romantic moment of making something a quilt? at a craft fair over easter, i suppose anyone got a pattern for n easy something for my 40 squares i've bought?

Start off with something smaller, an entire quilt is daunting!! I've been working on my current one for 18 months!! Try a cushion cover first if you're sewing by hand!

I started by getting all the books out of the library on quilting and patchwork to get some ideas. If you are going to start a quilt bear in mind you will need to buy backing fabric and wadding to go in the middle. There's a website thetabbycat.co.uk and cottonpatch.net, and I also like to go through the ebay fabric listings, although double check the price on ebay as it's sometimes cheaper to buy elsewhere! hth!
