I use my sewing machine evry day and i have it set up to how i like it (straight stitch) to sew what i need to sew. Anyway a few days ago it started going wrong
It is skipping stitches and sometimes not stitching at all, i hare re-threaded it over and over again, changed the tension (which just makes it worse), there seems to be no tension at all and it is making a funny noise when i try to stitch.

I dont realy know much about sewing machines (even thow i use it evry day), it took me days to set up in the first place, please please help as i have orders for items which i cant make.

Are you using a thin fabric? Soemtimes mine does this when I use thin or shiny fabrics, so I change the bit that you kind of clamp the fabric down with (is it called a foot?!). If not have you checked to see if singerhave a website? They might have a trouble shooting section? Or it might need a service or something, is it just not catching the underneath thread? Maybe it's the race bit... (I'm such an expert!) Sorry I'm not much help!

Sewing fluffy materials bugger them up badly. Mine had to go in to the menders after playing up in a similar fashion to yours. It bunged up with fleecy fluff, which caused a jam inside.

I think i will go and clean it then, it could be bunged up with fluff.

I had this problem and took it back to my little shop where I bought it from. Turned out it just needed a good clean, it had got bunged up with loads of gubbin, bit's of fluff and cotton bits.
Take the bobbin out and give it a good 'blow'
