Pattern for a sparkly scarf

Just impulse bought this yarn in a craft shop today (3 50g balls)

www.google.co.uk/search?q=wendy+celeste+dk+yarn&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjVrLrN2evVAhXMCsAKHeEzAdIQsxgIKQ&biw=1366&bih=662#spd=17999811321951394022

Any suggestions for a good scarf pattern? It has little sequins in it and is lovely and sparkly!

There's one in the Tilly and the Buttons book. Dead simple - basically just cut the size you want plus, hem the edges, voila. You can probably find one online though.

Highlove · 22/08/2017 22:31

Size-wise, measure against one you already have?

Highlove · 22/08/2017 22:32

Ah I'm a total, total idiot. You want to knit it not sew it. I did wonder, tbh.

Scuffles off with red cheeks. Blush

Ah no worries @Highlove Grin

Something clean and simple to show off the shininess and sequins. Maybe with some cables?

Something thin because 150g isn't much for a scarf. Not the kind I make, anyway. I usually use about 400g but then I make massive beast stole type things and I mostly crochet Grin

Yes I always forget that a 50g ball doesn't go that far (I usually just knit socks!)

Haven't really done cables, but might have a fingerless mittens pattern that has cables...

If you join Ravelry (free!) you can search their pattern database - it allows you to select by your specific yarn weight, length, what you want to knit etc so you can narrow it right down. Loads of free patterns on there!

Thanks @Margay, will check it out Smile

I made this with yarn with a metallic thread running though it www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sedgy-cowl-and-ear-warmer

It looks really good . I did it in aran but it would work for dk too if you changed the hook and checked the length before you started the second row..
