Markets - are they worth it?

I'm just a little start up business so trying to get my name out but also do things on the cheap where possible. Are market stalls worth it, in your experience? I've found one that looks great but it's over £85 for a stall! It feels a bit like throwing money away, but I suppose people wouldn't do them if they didn't bring a profit.

Any thoughts? Thank you!

I don't do them very often. £85 is expensive. What are you selling. I stopped doing fairs as despite the organisers telling me how amazing it would be for business...I found it a waste of my energy and might as well have given away free goods and stayed home.

I have a busy social media presence now. I get more business from there and word of mouth. On saying that I booked a local school fair and I pay £10-£20 for a table
