I love sensory bins, messy play, process art and also some art and craft activities (but child led), I often find creativity blogs and Pinterest to be too picture perfect and especially the crafts are rarely suitable for the age they are aimed at.

What do you love to do with your children? Please share recipes and pictures of crafts

Here it's rainbow oobleck (some call it goop), it's a non-Newtonian fluid made from corn flour and water with a bit of food colouring. It looks like a liquid but acts like a solid when you apply pressure

Edible waterbeads made with basil seeds/sabja seeds, water and food colouring, it's such a lovely sensory experience. You could substitute the basil seeds with chia seeds. The clean up is easy with a paper roll and the prep-time is 5-10min (1min actual prep-time the rest is just soaking time)

Lantern made from a milk jug decorated with markers and stickers, we put snap glow sticks inside for light. You could also cut a whole in the side and place a candle there but I wanted something the children could carry around (2 year olds)

Playdough monsters (we use the imagination tree best ever playdough recipe). You could also start by making a design sheet were you choose a name for the monster, decide colour, number of eyes/arms/legs etc before you start creating
