We've had no success. Does anyone have a fullproof recipe? With quantities please

My dd2 had success yesterday with 1 cup conditioner and 1 cup cornflour, plus a little hand moisturiser - but to be fair it was advertised as a more plly-doh consistency than slime, which it was. My dd1 added some food colouring to hers that made it a nice purple, and didn't stain. It makes a large quantity, so a quarter of a cup would be enough for one.

I seem to remember there was a thread on this not too long a go. Gimme a minute and I'll try find it...

Can't find it sorry

How about just cornflour and water? That's what we've always done until I banned it indoors after a particularly unfortunate incident

My dd made an amazing slime recently. It was magnetic and attracts magnets and engulfs them. It's really impressive. She used iron oxide and some weird washing powder. I'll see if she remembers the recipe.

You can make slime by adding glue, washing powder and coloring together and mixing them altogether.

PVA glue and borax solution. Borax is available easily on t'interweb, or try Boots, Home bargains, Wilko etc.

The more Borax you dissolve in the water the less slimey and more like silly putty the end product.

Make sure kids wash hands after use.

I use this as borax http://www.lakeland.co.uk/23486/Traditional-Laundry-Starch-500g with pva and just mix it with a little water first. Makes a lovely slime and is cheaper on Amazon!
