Hiya,
I am hoping some of you crafty people might be able to help me. DD 8 has to take a decorated egg into school on Thursday, and I am useless at this sort of thing. Does anyone know where I can get an egg bigger than a chickens to start with, and also she has decided she wants to turn her egg into a easter chick or a bunny, can you give me some ideas how I might do this? Thank

Eastr chick is easy- just cover with feathers (99p a bag in hoobycraft, or try ebay for lots) and add a beak (diamond shapefolded in half) and eyes and feet, curt from card is fine. Bunny you need grey painyt, white paint for belly, white pom pom for tail and cut out ears, feets, front legs.

Hobbycraft sell polystyrene eggs- less likely than a real one to break on the way to school and traumatise LO. (bet thery're on ebat atm too)

I am trying to make a buck - how do you glue the beak on the egg - mine keeps coming open and looks like an egg with a diamond shape stuck on it!!

Thanks for the input, well DD came up with her own idea, she had me hard boil an egg, cut a finger off my rubber glove, and stuff the egg inside it. Do you know how hard it is to get an egg inside a rubber finger , well then she just drew on it. She then cut up the rest of the glove and made a nest with it. So there we go all sorted. TwoToTango, I haven't got a clue, maybe you could try using a pipe cleaner?? No idea sorry

when you fold the diamond it needs to have three sections- two points and a thin central 'ridge' (so fold the top in starting just over half way up, turn upside down and do that agin)- then you can glue the strip down OK< and that will keep the rest open.

Thanks PeachyClair - should manage to have a presentable duck now.
