Baby crochet inspiration...

I have just over 150g of lovely merino wool (Aran thickness) and would like to crochet something for my baby due in just under 3 months. I don't want to make a toy as I still have most of Edwards menagerie to make my way though....
I'm not very experienced but can follow a pattern (with a bit of help from YouTube!)

Any suggestions.....

one of the most useful things my DD had was a small blanket for covering up around baby while in a car seat .( Its not safe with big coats, puffy jackets etc it seems ) I'm sure 150 gm would work up a nice size - maybe a c2c ? Bella Coco has a good youtube video for it :)

Thanks bookbook, I'll have a look. Never done c2c before!

Its actually pretty easy, once you get going. Its a good pattern too when you have a set amount of wool- it works up as a triangle, so you can work out when you need to start squaring it off so you don't run out of wool :)
Also if you do decide thats the one , there is a nice edging which finishes it off nicely
