Easter egg outfit - will this work?

I want to make DS2 (18 months) an easter egg outfit, but can't find a pattern. He has a padded pumpkin one I bought for halloween (picture on my profile) and I was wondering whether I could cover it in easter fabric, and stick a bow round his middle. What do you reckon - will it look ok or will it be crap??? Thanks!

would an easter bunny costume not be much easier?

I thought this would be easier than a bunny - I think it would be fairly simple to do, it's just whether it would end up looking like an egg or whether it would just look odd!

Your pumpkin costume is LOVELY, well done aren't you clever! Of course it will look like an egg, just may need to be a bit 'rounder' (ie wider) near the top perhaps to be more egg shaped I would think??

Thanks, but Mr Sainsbury made the pumpkin, not me! I did make the cat DS1 is wearing on that photo, but it took forever which is why I don't want to do a bunny this time!
