DD and me have just spent the last couple of hours, glueing, folding, cutting and designing - and have finally made her easter bonnet. She has a bonnet parade on the 27th at school - she is in reception year so our first time for all this stuff - and her bonnet had to be made my the child, with some small help from parents.
And she has tried really hard, and loved every second. We had instructions to follow for the chicks and flowers, and the bonnet itself was from a kit from ELC.
I did the scissor work and some of the glueing in place, as the flowers were a pain to keep in place, as was the elastic round her neck to keep it in place.
But it is all her own design and I think she is ever so pleased. Now have to put it away somewhere out of the way to stop her destroying it between now and the 27th!
