Wanting to learn crochet to add to my list of crafts but I'm struggling to get started. Tips on learning? Good books or you tube vids you can recommend? Etc xx

Bella Coco is good, unfortunately I can't get in with crocheting at all but my knitting is coming on leaps and bounds

I learnt basic squares from the Little Tin Bird website tutorials. Once you get the hang of the stitches, you can follow most patterns - it's working out where each stitch needs to go that I found the tricky part.

Good luck - it's such a satisfying hobby. Come and join us in Woolly Hugs - lots of inane wool-based chatter and support there!

I can recommend Girlybunches on YouTube and the tutorials in the back of Simply Crochet magazine. I taught myself to crochet from these and then moved on to following Attic24 tutorials.

Attic24, Bella Coco and Helpfull (?) Honey on youtube helped me to finally get the grasp of it after 7 months of trying.

My granny squares are shocking but im still pleased with how they turn out Grin
