Could you print out a photo of him with some of his pressies and then get him to stick it onto card and decorate it?

Or just do a handprint on the front of the card. That always looks cute and is v easy.

At this age, either a simple colouring picture printed off on the computer, with a scribble from him on, or just a blob of glue and a sprinkle of glitter, would be fine

anyone will know he didn't really do it, if it is more complicated than that, tbh

Cut out basic shapes in coloured card to make a monster, rocket, face etc & he can stick them onto card ?
Hand prints or finger painting (make a finger print into a little person/animal by drawing on arms & legs etc)?

Photo of a happy, cake-covered face is also a goodie. Definitely agree with the hand print too.

cut out the letters of thank you in big bright colours. sit your ds on teh floor with his pressies -, arrange the letters around him and take a photo. get him to stick some small stickers eg stars on the actual card if you want more active participation!

Also I used to let ds paint a big picture (random splodges) on a large peice of paper. All different colours etc. Then I'd just cut out rectangle/circle peices of it just the right size to fit on the front of the card.

Looked fab.

Handprints and footprints are great as mentioned already. Handprints (with the fingers at the bottom) make great octopuses; footprints can be turned into dogs etc (two or three toes make an ear!). Just use a black felt-tip to draw a face on after the paint has dried. My SIL sent out Christmas thank you cards that were footprints from her 1 year old turned into reindeers (with a red nose) - soo cute!
