Designer plus size sewing pattern

I wouldn't know where to begin but I'm looking for modern sewing patterns. For graduation I need an outfit, I'm plus size and have horrendous legs (that's not a call for of course you don't, but a statement of fact). Anyway what I think I want is a long line jacket with tailored trousers. It really isn't possible for find anything in the shops as I have been looking for months. So if anyone has any ideas that would be fab thanks.

And I do have a tailor but the normally just copies pictures and I would like this more finely tailored, to the level of a mans suit. Not sure if I'm making sense but all ideas gratefully received.

May i suggest looking on eBay at American patterns? On the whole Americans are larger than Europeans, so there should be plenty of patterns around, as home sewing is still pretty popular in the states.
Are you particularly tall?
Or for inspiration, are there any celebrities that may have attended red carpet/big dos, that your tailor could copy or get inspiration from?

Also, sorry, if you'll be in graduation gown for the ceremony, be prepared that you may get pretty hot, and definitely worth the want a suit jacket/tux on under it.
What colouring are you?
What about plain (black?) Trousers, with a Chinese style jacket on the top half? Longer or shorter sleeved according to how happy you are with your arms. Like the top of a cheongsam?

Thanks. That's a good idea. I've seen lots of things I like but not all together. Currently I'm trying to put bits and pieces I like together to get an id a of an outfit.
