Has anyone done this, the pattern isn't making a lot of sense to me...thanks

I did it! It was pretty thankless to be honest and the yarn was very splitty.
I found the pattern difficult too.

Don't. I'm doing the bloody gruffalo. It was a christmas "present" from some kids who want it completed and keep asking me about it.

The yarn is horrible and the pattern unbelievably daffy. I do not want to knit purple sodding prickles out of nasty acrylic. I want to use some of my gorgous hand dye from edinburgh arm festival or finish my Liberty fabric quilt (which in a completely immodest way I am massively pleased with).

Instead I'm spending my free time battling with the sodding gruffalo.

Argh!

Well I'm pleased I'm not the only one finding it a chore, I don't have a lot of free time and haven't done any since my DTS were born last year but my DD keeps asking
