embroidery ideas please

Does anyone remember linen tablecloths, or mats, with the pattern (usually chains of flowers and crinoline ladies) printed on for you to follow? My mum's given me one of these, with the threads. I love doing it, as it's so straightforward and pretty. But - I'll never actually use the table cloth. Has anyone any ideas of what to do with the finished product - even if it means cutting it up?

I use them! But I'm very twee and like that kind of thing.

I made some bunting out of the small, embroidered things like coasters....and little tray cloths.

I've seen people make children's dresses out of the tablecloths, bags, cushions.

Anything you can make out of fabric really!

What a great idea - my daughter is having a baby soon as well!

You could also make a little quilt and use cloths as patches. Intersperse them with print patches....little flowers etc.
