Easy Christening shawl pattern

I've got the (possibly crazy) idea that I'd like to make a shawl for dd's baptismal white garment. I can knit and crochet, am a slightly more experienced knitter. Crocheting still pretty basic to be honest. Does anyone know of any easy ish patterns? Happy to learn a couple of new stitches or techniques if needed but would like it to be a labour of love not stress. Can anyone recommend a pattern? Or tell me that shawls are for the experienced only?

I have joined Ravelry.com and they are a great resource for patterns, very searchable on age, difficulty etc, even size of wool. I haven't put a specific link because i think you need to be signed in to see them, but they have nice baby shawls/ blankets in pretty patterns.

Second Ravelry, brilliant site - generally if I'm not here I'm there! Grin

I've already got this in my queue Baby Tree of Life shawl - it's rated by previous knitters as moderate skill level and it's a free pattern Wink
