Novice knitter help!

I would like to make this as in the link with a really nice wool that isn't bulky, so v similar to the photo. The blog is American I think though, and I need recommendations for which yarn to use and also advice on needle size :)

Something like Drops Merino Extra Fine would be similar to the recommended. And a pair of 4mm needles

The Drops comes in 50g balls though, so you would need 6 balls rather than the 3 100g skeins recommended.

Perfect! They have a lovely grey too. I need to buy more needles too
