Baby mobile

Hiya! I'm making a mobile for my nursery as the one I want is £50 and I can't afford that! The one in the picture is what I'm going to attempt to replicate, but my question is, is it safe to use gems like pictured? Is there a certain type of gem or jewel you can link me to that are unlikely to fall off or anything?

I honestly would just not use the gems. I mean, if they are beads and you thread the thread through and tie it round before continuing to the next thing to hang, maybe put a blob of superglue on too, and then it is hung well out of reach right upby the ceiling, and maybe over the changing mat not the cot, it is probably vanishingly unlikely to ever cause a problem... but it's just decoration, not worth the risk. I wouldn't and I am pretty lax with this kind of thing.
