My aunt used to have a crocheted throw very similar to the one here

I'd love to start making something similar, but I'm struggling with the instructions on round 4. Can anyone shed any light?

what are you struggling with?

Sosidges · 26/10/2016 22:37

In each gap make 2sc 3chain 2sc in to each space. So the 7 stitches form a picot. So does that help?

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 26/10/2016 22:40

is it the sc thing? that's and american pattern, so a sc (single crochet) is a dc (double crochet) in UK terms.

which also means the trebles are double trebles in round two/three

two doubles, three chain, two more doubles in the same chain gap. Ignor the two trebles in row below and hit the chain gap with...

So there are 24 gaps in the second colour circle but i'm only meant to end up with 12 points

So am i meant to go 2dc, 3 chain, 2dc then skip a gap?

Or should it be 2dc in one space, 3 chain and then 2ds in the next space

you are just working into the (2ch) chain gaps, not between the standing trebles.

turbohamster · 27/10/2016 10:26

Ah ok, so 2dc in first chain of chain gap, chain 3 and then 2dc in second chain of same chain gap

i'd not work into the chain itself, I'd go into the gap as a whole...I think it gives a neater result to working into the chains.

and it's easier than feckering about trying to find the right bit to poke the hook into :o

Ok, think I've got it
