Has anyone done any workshops in the past? Are they good value?
I'm going to the Harrogate show in November and am looking at a free motion sewing hour long workshop with Six Penny Memories. It's £13 for an hour. My mum would pay for it as part of my birthday present but I wonder whther I'd be better having £13 to spend on fabrics etc.
Nice dilemma to have Smile

I did a 2 hour crochet workshop the last time I went to the Olympia/Earl's Court event.

I found it very enjoyable and learnt a lot. The tutor was very knowledgeable and the group I was in was very friendly. The workshop time does go very quickly though.

Thanks, that's encouraging. There is a huge long list of workshops to choose from so I'll have another look & then book one I think.
