T-Shirts (making, designing)

Really want to make some bright colourful t-shirts for DS that don't involve diggers, cars or army print!

Anyone here sewn your own t-shirt or painted/drawn a design on to one?? Also wear would you bulk buy a load of plain white kiddies t-shirts??

Tesco do cheap ones.
You can use freezer paper to paint on to them, as it adheres to the fabric, making it easier.
