2 cot maytresses, 4 pillows...what to do?

I hate throwing out anything that could possibly have a bit of life left in it. So what can I do with 2 old cot mattresses and 4 regular sized pillows? I have 2 DC (4&6) who ate the most likely recipients of my bounty

Donate them to a dog/animal shelter for use as beds

Can't help but following as I have 3 old pillows and one cot mattress which I can't bear to throw out either. We're clearly kindred spirits. I've got vague ideas of a 'reading corner' or a floor sofa type thing but doubt I'll have time soon!

I like that mini couch, I wonder if I could fit it in dd's bedroom...

And if I run out of enthusiasm, the animal shelter is a brilliant idea, I never would have thought of it.
