Dd has seen slime being made on YouTube and has been pestering me to make her some but sods law you can't seem to buy Borax here (whatever borax is). The other ingredient seems to be pva glue.

Does anyone know of a way to make it that is uk friendly? Google isn't providing many reliable answers.

This is a very wordy site, and I haven't tried to make the slime but maybe it will help you - and if you do make it, let us know how it worked out!

I think this is what we use at our pre school www.funathomewithkids.com/2014/07/make-slime-with-laundry-detergent.html

Cross post, we did find it a bit hit and miss the first couple of times we made it, more detergent and a lot of mixing seemed to do the trick

Nope. It is cargoes ally banned in this house, we still have stains on the carpet from two years ago!

idontlikealdi · 02/09/2016 21:32

Categorically ffs

Borax comes from the chemist, you have to ask for it.

OiWithThePoodlesAlready · 02/09/2016 21:57

I think my carpet is past saving anyway so might as well add some slime stains! What did you use to make it aldi?

Thanks for the link. I'll go hunting for laundry starch and see how it goes.

I'm a bit wary of using borax even of I can get hold of it. A few websites seem to suggest it's nasty stuff.

It came from a pot (thanks granny!) but never again. Insure home made would be better :)
