OMG - First bead shop visit

Managed to find & visit a fairly local Bead shop yesterday. OMG ! I swear I was hyper-ventilating when I walked through the door! But sooooo pricy. You end up buying a few of one type & a few of another 50p here, 75p there. I spent £10 & only had a tiny handful to show for it But I did get some nice things
Hopefully going to play with them soon !

...and then you're too worried to use any of them because they cost so much and you don't want to waste them on something that's not perfect

I think I'd sooner wait & get people to tell me the sort of thing they want - then get the beads, that way, I'll know that it's not mine to keep

Hee hee! Where do you live Whizz? There's a great bead shop near covent garden that I go to sometimes, I could spend hours in there Have a look at these beads...oh I WANT them but they are soooooo expensive!drool

oo they are scummy !! I'm in the North West so went to a bead shop in Chester.

I agree with the buying a few beads from a shop and it costs you a fortune sentiment, I am quite lucky where I live as we have a bead shop in Hereford and another in Worcester. I have had to ban myself from them though whilst I am on maternity leave!

Hi I do a bit of beading too, mainly around christmas to bring in a little cash (£40 this year)
I often find that buying the mixed bags for about £6 are good, especially in the covent garden shop.
