Pondering a stall at a local fair...

Just seen an ad for stalls for a Mothers Day Gift & Craft fair in a local church hall (in March).
Thinking of maybe giving it a go with my beady stuff as the main thing & cards as a sideline..... it's £15 a stall....should I do it - should I ?????

yes deffo do it whizzz, i've look at your necklaces and stuff lots of times and always want to buy something but i just never get a chance to wear pretty stuff like that.

Maybe it should be a belated new yr resolution for me to wear it ....or a patt on the back present to my self

if i saw it on a stall i know i wouldn't be avble to resist though.....deffo do it.

At £15 it's worth doing it if only for the experience! All that face-to-face feedback will be valuable too

Well I will speak to a friend tomorrow who I think knows the hall - see how big it is & if she's been to any fairs there...
Then it will be the question of how best to displat stuff (cards are so much easier !!)

I'm doing my first one in March too!!

It is £30 for 2 days so will have to get at it making up stock to sell!!

I'm doing my first non trade fair (a baby show) in March. The 'display' thing is also on my mind.

I'd have thought that jewellery would look nice on velvet or some other tactile material. And maybe some lighting to make them sparkle?

Do you have any advice for displaying cards?

for cards I use the wooden drawers from Ikea (out of the little drawer thingys they do).
Take some out of packets & stand them up so people can pick them up & look properly. Also sort them by occasion so people can find what they want easily

I did my first fair at Christmas and sold £130 which was great .... so I say, go for it.

How do you find out where the fairs are ? I haven't a clue where to start, mine was a school Xmas fair

I've done 2 school fayres & one other (which was a disaster as the power went off !!) but only selling cards & a tiny bit of jewellery. Thinking of doing this as mostly jewellery which is why I have the wobbles!
Found out from an ad in the local paper today saying stalls were available
