I cleaned it all, oiled it & followed the threading instructions

& all I get is a nice neat chain & a cut piece of material....but they aren't attached to each other

So...I think I threaded it wrong!!

My usual problems are threading so if your got the chain the threading must be right,
Have you got the fabric in the right place ?
Can you see if the needles are piercing the fabric ?
What make is it perhaps there will be some troubleshooting help on the Internet or you tube

I think I've gone wrong at about 2:30 in this

It seems to say push it through a hole then put it back through the same hole....maybe?

Try re-treading it again and then play with the tensions.

Think I may have sorted it - I found an extra hole
