Has anyone seen the fabric that I'm looking for?

I'm looking for some cotton canvas weight fabric suitable for making cushion seats.

For various reasons I can't get to the shops atm so need to order online.

I've seen this below but think I need something a bit darker as it won't show marks so easily.

Had anyone seen the perfect fabric for me anywhere? :o

Have you tried EBay?

HeyMacWey · 31/05/2016 16:13

Yes I've had a look but it's either patterned or too lightweight.

How much darker? www.myfabrics.co.uk/04-canvas140-117_canvas-140-cm-31.html

Sorry - I should have said in looking for a darker grey.

www.myfabrics.co.uk/04-canvas140-045_canvas-140-cm-20.html Quite a dark grey option. There are hundreds of plain colours on the same site if you type "canvas" as the search box word. I've used this site quite a few times and they've been reliable Smile

That looks a possibility - perfect colour match but I wonder if it's too lightweight? I've been looking at 300 g/m2p-ej. What do you think?

Try John Lewis

HeyMacWey · 02/06/2016 20:02

Mind you - it says hard wearing so could definitely be a go-er.

Have tried john Lewis but am on a tight budget and nothing suitable in my price range :(

I think I've found a potential on that website - it's a cotton twill in dark grey.

Cool - they do a sample service so you could get a sample first to be sure of the weight? From memory you can have five free samples for £3 postage, and you then get the £3 taken off any subsequent order. I've had some lovely heavyweight linen from them, as well as lighter dress-making fabrics. Hope you get what you want!

Try made2measure.next.co.uk they do free samples before you buy.
