Has anyone made a first Communion dress?

I'd like to make DD her dress for next year...can anyone recommend some simple patterns? Thanks

Please make sure that it looks just like the other girls.
Daughter made her communion yesterday and one girl was wearing a home made outfit.
Please, no young girl wants to look unlike her peers.

Well I haven't, but I've seen people use the Tadah Tea Party dress for this. That's a PDF pattern. There's a Tadah Facebook page and a Fresh Pattern Designs group, that's their old name.

I find the remark by quickly above slightly insulting TBH. How do you know that only one was home made? Everyone was asking where I bought DDs dress. When I wear my own creations no one knows they are home made, just that they are well made and that they fit.
