is winceyette the same as flannette? I'm looking for some wide width flannel to make some sheets for an awkward size mattress for the dds - but don't want to buy until I know they are one and the same

can anyone shed any light on this??!!
thank you!

would the brits call it brushed cotton then, or flannel or flannelette?

winceyette- a lightweight brushed cotton fabric, used especially for nightclothes.

flanelette- a napped cotton fabric resembling flannel

Brushed cotton is a cotton that has been brushed

All 3 are different things so for making bed sheets you need either flanelette or brushed cotton
