Fabric for Sofa in London

I'm trying to find out if there's anywhere other than John Lewis that sells furnishing fabric in London. I'm getting an old sofa reupholstered and am hoping to cut the cost by finding somewhere that sells cheaper fabric if possible, or just some alternatives. In particular I was hoping to find somewhere that might do offcuts or whatever. Any thoughts at all would be massively welcome.

I sell furnishing fabric at work ... though I am not sure we have much that is cheap cheap ... how much were you thinking of paying per metre? We have offcuts but usually only for curtain fabric ... it is rare to get offcuts the size of a sofa though as you usually need quite a bit! If you let me know how much you need, what sort of price you want to pay and what type of fabric etc I can have a look for you at work tomorrow and see if we have anything suitable.

Thank you all very much indeed. Think I've solved it now, but I'm so grateful. particularly to CJMummy. What a fantastically kind offer, a real Mumsnet moment. My mum has found a company that makes sofas etc and sells large offcuts from the lines they're discontinuing etc. Lovely quality fabrics at £2 a metre etc and with kind of 10 15 metres on each roll. Makes a big difference to JL's £35... and in this house that difference is between it happening and not happening!
