I found the lovely historical stuff a while ago, notw I'm looking for more regular/fashion clothes

Try thefoldline.com and indiesew.com- lots of downloadable patterns from indie designers. BAckstich.com also has a lot of patterns and you can search by downloadable only. I've just discovered tesutti.com in Australia as well though yet to download anything from there yet.

Lekala are all downloadable and you can customise them to the sizes you need, having said that the only one I bought from them wasn't that well thought out.

Try Named Clothing and / or Papercut - downloadable. They both have skimpy tips and Swimwear so hopefully you can find something acceptable ( and appropriate ) to both you and DD !

There's a number of YouTube video to make really simple boob tubes.

This is the one Dd1 is going to copy - but she's got fabric rather than an old tshirt so will hem the bottom
