Currently trying to make play dough with dd, making a huge sticky mess instead! Her teacher told me it was just flour, water and oil but I've no idea of the amounts, help needed please xx

One cup (250ml) flour, half cup salt, two tablespoons cream of tartar, two tablespoons oil, one cup water with food colouring and vanilla extract if you like. Heat gently, stirring, until it comes together magically as playdough. Knead until smooth. Lasts ages and has texture of "proper" playdough. Used recipe for years Smile

Don't forget salt !
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 tsp oil
2tsp cream of tartar
1 cup boiling water
Food colouring.
Mix all dry ingredients then add wet.
Lasts for weeks in air tight container.
