Looking for a bright lamp - was told you might be the people to ask!

My original post

Basically, I'm looking for an angled lamp that's 100W (I want to swap the bulb out for a daylight one - so can't be halogen), not one that clips onto a table and doesn't cost a silly amount of money.

JackieNo on the original thread suggested that you guys might be the ones to ask as it would be the sort of light you might want for crafting.

Does anyone have something similar or know where I might look to get one? I've been searching on various shops online and not really found anything I can afford.

Thank you

like this ?? although I have seen cheaper

Google "daylight + lamp" or something similar to get a range

Something like that - it doesn't have to be a "daylight lamp" as such - daylight bulbs are easy enough to get hold of.

at those prices though!

Hmm, I suspect I might have to think again with this idea

I'd go for a daylight portable lamp, fabby!! I got one from a beauty store, much cheaper. I find that items that a re sold a "craft" items, even if they can be found eleswhere in other type of stores, have a higher price!

I think I got it for £20 odd. But I have a store card that gives money off so it would prob be around £30

They have special offers durig the year too.

Just thought I'd say thanks and give you guys an update.

After a lot of searching, I managed to find a 30W energy saver daylight bulb (150W equivalent) from BLT Direct (one of the cheapest places for bulbs I've found on the net) that fit an old lower powered standard lamp I had - nice and bright and the height is just perfect for the table I'm using!

Not only that, but it only cost me £9

Thank you so much for all your help - wanted to post though in case anyone else is searching for a nice bright lamp that isn't going to break the bank.
